"Do I lie to myself to be happy?"
"I have to believe in a world outside my own
mind."
"I have to believe that my actions still
have meaning, even if I can’t remember them."
"I have to believe that when my eyes are
closed the world is still here."
- I have expanded this with my own thoughts:
"I have to believe that when my eyes are closed the world is still here. I have to believe she is still living, breathing, laughing, smiling. Even if I forget her, to know she exists keeps my mind at rest, at least for now."
"How am I supposed to feel if I can’t feel time?"

- Taken from the film 'Memento'
My idea for the protagonist's dialogue/voiceover for trailer:
I
have to believe that when my eyes are closed the world is still here. I have to
believe she is still living, breathing, laughing, smiling.
If
I don’t,
all hope is lost.
My
mind
plays tricks, erases our memories,
I
forget but she doesn’t; she knows who I was. I wish I could remember through
her eyes, Who am I? Where have I been?
All
I know Is that it left a void, more intense than a knife sinking into my
stomach, I should know. Wounds can heal, but my mind will not repair the
damage, I can search hard but my mind will forever be incomplete.
Knowing
she exists is enough, it has to be.
